Every 6 months or so I like to hold a State of Finding Mastery – explain where we’re at, what we’re excited about, and share any insights. And there’s a lot to share on this one.

The last time we did this back in August 2017, we were just get started launching the Patreon Premium subscription to help support the podcast.

For everyone that signed up to support us, thank you. Truly thank you. In today’s world, while it might seem like everything comes free, there is definitely a cost of both time and resources to make this show happen on a weekly basis.

I love doing it and I want to keep doing it for a long time but there has to be the right resources available to make it happen.

Ultimately the Patreon model didn’t provide the level of support we needed and we’re super grateful to Athletic Greens who came on board in December as a sponsor.

We’re only going to have sponsors that we believe in, that we think fit what Finding Mastery stands for and products that we think we’ll be of interest to you.

If you want to help support Finding Mastery, support our sponsors. The more you support them, the more we can give back to you.

And I’m really excited about what we have in store for you over the next few months.

First we are shutting down the Patreon premium offering. If you feel like supporting the show you will still be able to so through Patreon but the premium content will be available through other platforms.

Why are we doing this? Because with the support of our sponsors, we want to make this content available to everyone.

There are a few places you’ll want to make sure you are following along to get access.

First we’ve revamped our weekly newsletter.

It will include some new features such as articles I’m writing, some of my favorite things I’ve read that week, podcast transcripts, bonus audio from the Finding Mastery podcast and more.

You can sign up on our website – Findingmastery.net/Newsletter

Second, I realize not everyone is on Facebook but for those who are – we have the Finding Mastery Tribe and we’re going to be ramping up the content there as well.

We have decided to make Tribe Talk public.

As a refresher Tribe Talk is where I answer questions from The Tribe related to the podcasts and high performance principles in more detail.

We’ll be picking the best questions posted in The Tribe for future episodes of Tribe Talk.

Additionally I will be doing some live video sessions – both Q/A and interviews in the Tribe so make sure you are a member. You can request to join at FindingMastery.net/Tribe

Lastly, we are creating a new audio series within the Finding Mastery podcast feed and I think you’re going to really enjoy it.

It’s going to be called “The Process.”

Everyone talks about it but it really does matter so we’re going to learn what it’s really all about.

In the first season of “The Process” we’re going to follow Karios and their CEO Alex Fiance.

Kairos is a global community of fellows, founders & advisors that work together to identify society’s most pressing challenges and build new solutions to address them.

They focus on areas where outdated industries and governments are failing to meet our communities’ needs.

Over the course of the next 6 months, we’re going to learn about young entrepreneurs tackling the worlds biggest problems – what are some of the biggest problems? How do they find the entrepreneurs they believe can solve them?  How do they determine which companies to invest in? And we’ll dig into the mindset of these entrepreneurs.

Young people have the ability to make a big difference and we’re going to learn from some of the brightest minds of the next generation.

The first episode will be dropping soon so stay tuned. The first one has a bit of a Finding Mastery feel to it but going forward we’ll be having shorter ongoing conversations every month or so to truly learn about The Process of entrepreneurship, venture funding, and solving some of the world’s most pressing issues.

This is really exciting me for.

If you guys enjoy this first season, we’ll pick a different person / craft to follow (a musician or an athlete or whoever else we want to learn from in season 2.)

Thanks again for being a part of this journey with us and don’t forget – subscribe to the newsletter, join the Tribe, and support our sponsors.

Wishing you the best,
